Expanded applications for precise timing measurement across broadcast and professional AV sectors
Following successful demonstrations at NAB Show 2025, Hitomi will feature both its SMPTE ST 2110 UHD support and MatchBox software solutions. The software shares the same precision algorithms as the hardware version while offering greater flexibility for integration with third-party platforms. With both hardware and software configurations available, MatchBox technology can be deployed to solve timing challenges across multiple sectors.
"We've seen growing interest in MatchBox applications beyond traditional broadcasting," explains Russell Johnson, Director at Hitomi. "From measuring video latency in medical applications where surgeons require precisely timed feedback, to aligning multiple screens at large-scale events, and timing conference system presentations, our technology is proving valuable across diverse professional environments. As the trusted provider of timing measurement worldwide, our focus is on solving real-world problems in both broadcast and professional AV environments. With increasing pressure on production teams to deliver more with less, tools that quickly and accurately align audio and video are essential for maintaining quality while improving efficiency."
Recognised as the gold standard in timing measurement, Hitomi's solutions provide the precision and reliability needed to accurately measure lip-sync and latency across sports and live production environments. This precise measurement capability enables production teams to identify and address timing issues, ensuring synchronised content delivery.
Visit Hitomi at MPTS 2025 on stand J37 for live demonstrations of these capabilities and integrations.
