The show gives nxtedition an opportunity to build on its growing work in India. Its recent projects in the region include the new Collective Newsroom production operation for BBC India, where a unified nxtedition environment supports production in nine languages, with transcription and translation processed on the broadcaster’s own hardware.
At A.B.I.S, nxtedition will demonstrate how the same consolidated architecture can support the next stage of AI-assisted production. Rather than treating AI as a separate application, nxtedition gives agents controlled access to functions already within the production environment, including media, scripts, graphics, rundowns, automation and gallery control.
An agent can take incoming material, develop a story, identify relevant media, populate graphics and assemble a running script with prompter text, VTs and graphics. Journalists and directors remain responsible for editorial decisions, with the work carried out by the agent visible and editable within the existing production workflow.
The stand will also feature nxtedition’s latest scripting, editing and production developments, including collaborative editing, transcript-based video editing, speaker diarisation, semantic and textual search and local AI processing. The platform can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud or as a hybrid system.
“This is our first time exhibiting at A.B.I.S, but we are not new to India,” said Roger Persson, Sales & Marketing Director & Partner at nxtedition. “We already have customers in the region and a growing understanding of what broadcasters here need from their production environments. We are looking forward to meeting more people in Mumbai, spending time with existing customers and partners, and introducing the latest developments in nxtedition.”
Visit nxtedition on Stand F15 at A.B.I.S 2026, Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, from 22-24 October 2026.

About nxtedition
Founded in 2012, nxtedition has evolved video production with one of the most creative software solutions in the broadcasting industry. By leveraging microservices, nxtedition simplifies broadcast workflows, replacing complex legacy systems. Traditional hardware-based products create layers of complexity, but nxtedition’s approach reduces costs, improves integration, and requires less specialised maintenance. Using advanced web technologies, nxtedition transforms tools like prompters, newsroom systems, and automation into a unified platform where teams can focus on storytelling rather than managing technology.
